Toronto birders enjoy early morning outing

For many birders, there’s nothing quite like experiencing the music of their feathered friends at dawn, and a Toronto outing will offer this experience.

The Toronto Botanical Garden (TBG) offers a variety of learning and recreational opportunities, and its Dawn Chorus Birding activity promises to be a special experience. Everyone is asked to arrive bright and early at 5:30 am sharp, and TBG Seasonal Horticulturist and avid birder Sasan Beni will be on hand to offer ID tips.

Those who register for the session are reminded to bring their binoculars, and there may be “loaners” available for anyone who needs them. They may also wish to bring along a mug or thermos of coffee or another hot beverage to warm up with while they enjoy a post outing chat. They can share their best birding practices and the species they have seen, and the group will meet up at the TBG main entrance before they head out.

The session will be held rain or shine, and it may include steep inclines and some uneven terrain. Birding checklists lists paired with promotional Pens, birder’s Journals, “lifer spotting certificates” and other custom materials for an activity can be prepared by a local printing services company.

The Toronto Botanical Garden will be kicking off its Morning with the Birds at 5:30 am on May 24th. Tickets start at $20.00 for members and $22.00 for the general public.
