Art enthusiasts across Ontario will get the chance to browse a diverse collection of works when the Art Toronto fair comes to the city next month
The event is set to take place over four days and will offer local and international artists the chance to showcase and sell their pieces to the area’s aficionados.
Guests have the chance to look over the pieces on show before taking part in panel discussions and watching keynote speakers. The ‘Power Talks’, as they have been labeled, will include such topics as ‘Art Shorts talk: learning from appraisers’, ‘C Magazine: conversations’, ‘Focus on Photography’, and ‘The next generation of Canadian art’.
There is a special collectors’ preview on the day before the show starts, followed by an opening night preview. The preview is a benefit for the Art Gallery of Ontario and guests will get to enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. They will also have the opportunity to buy art before the show starts and meet the artists.
Toronto printing companies are likely to be helping the organizers prepare by providing products such as tickets or Posters for advertising.
Art Toronto is taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from October 25-28. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door, $14 for seniors and students and free for children aged 12 and under. A 3-day Power Talks pass is $40.
The special collectors’ preview will take place on October 24 from 4:30-6:30pm; tickets are $300. To find out more about the events taking place, visit the official Art Toronto website.
