Variety - The Children's Charity of Ontario is a provincial community service organization, and this October, it will be depending on the generosity of volunteers to ensure its Halloween Food Truck Festival is a success.
The function will run for two days, and it will see food trucks rolling in to the Toronto area. It will offer the public an opportunity to support these local small businesses, and along with this, they will be able to participate in costume contests, enjoy some crafting, watch live entertainment and even take an open house tour of the organization's offices.
To lend a hand with this activity, area residents can submit an application, and if they are approved, they will be assigned a role, such as a vehicle greeter, helping with set up and tear down, cleaning up, manning tables, providing security or serving as a “floater”, who will help out wherever they are needed. Those who are high school students and older are encouraged to get involved, and when they do, they will be ensuring that the charity’s programming for disabled individuals continues.
Not for profit groups often depend on the generosity of volunteers to meet their goals. Corporate Gifts can be prepared to hand out to them as a token of appreciation after events like this one.
This Halloween-themed food truck festival will be held on October 29th and 30th. The function is set to take place at 3701 Danforth Avenue.
