Social media conference to be presented by the Canadian Marketing Association

The Science and Art of Social Business is a social media conference presented by the Canadian Marketing Association. It will be held on June 23 at the Allstream Centre in Toronto. Toronto firms who supply business card printing and other marketing services to the business work will be interested in learning about the importance of social media.

The following business professionals will be talking at the conference:

• Joseph Carrabis of NextStage Evolution
• Keefe Lee of Trapeze
• Keith McArthur of Rogers Communications
• Richard McLaughlin of Mastercard Worldwide
• Bruce Philip, author of the book Consumer Republic

The conference will discuss all aspects of social media and whether or not it is good for business. Topics discussed will be the current statistics of social media use in Canada, if social media can help or hurt a business’s reputation, and how social media can contribute to sales for a company. In addition to the main discussion, the conference will feature a roundtable discussion with various social media leaders.

Social media is becoming increasingly important in business but not every business knows how to use it properly. Social media networks such as LinkedIn can enhance a business’s credibility but can also hurt if not handled correctly. While Direct Mail is still the most important part of marketing, using social media networks properly is a necessary part of business today.

Those who supply marketing products such as Business Cards, flyer and Brochures should welcome new ideas that can only help businesses to prosper.
