The One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale will open at the Direct Energy Centre from March 28th - April 1st. Tickets are $14 for adults, $7 for students and seniors and free for children aged 12 and under.
The One of a Kind show is always a big draw in Toronto. There will be over 750 exhibitors, including 450 artisans, at this year’s show. Artists come from all over Canada to take place in this show. Everything that can be handmade will be exhibited at the show including jewelry, clothing, outdoor and indoor home décor, art, body care products, ceramics, glass, candles, furniture, paper products and dried flower art. This year the exhibitors will be divided into different neighbourhoods based on what they are selling: Outdoor, Flavours, Fashion District, Rising Stars and Green. In addition, there will be DIY workshops, with an extra $50 charge. Workshops will include “Make fabric coasters using the English Paper Piercing method” led by Andrea Sadgrove and “Make a zipper and felt pin cushion” led by Odie Gova.
There will also be fashion shows and the One of a Kind Hall of Fame inductions.
Exhibitors will be able to compete in the One of a Kind Umbrella competition. They create a display with the theme of “umbrella” and guests vote on the various displays to decide on the People’s Choice Award. Those competing in the competition can use the banner printing services of Toronto printing companies to set their display apart from the others. A banner could be umbrella shaped or wrapped around an umbrella shape; the choices are only limited by imagination.
