Photography exhibit highlights the United States

The photography exhibit "Phil Bergerson: Emblems and Remnants of the American Dream" is showing until next month at Toronto’s Ryerson Image Centre.

Curated by David Harris, the exhibit features photographs taken by Bergerson during his numerous trips to the United States. He uses pictures of murals, graffiti, Signs, and store window displays to give the public a view of the reality behind the American dream.

The photographer has also published a book called "American Artifact", which features many of the items on display. The book will be for sale at the centre.

A related event to the exhibit will be an exhibition tour that will take place on April 9th, beginning at 6:00pm. David Harris, who is the curator, and Phil Bergerson will guide members of the public through the gallery. Bergerson is also expected to be signing any Copies of his book.

This event may be of interest to those who work for graphics and Print companies in Toronto. It might give them an idea of what succeeds and does not succeed in public displays and in advertising. Additionally, it could inspire them use similar images in their next marketing campaign.
