The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition is returning to the city for three days next weekend. This popular annual event regularly attracts over 100,000 visitors each year.
The art show is expected to feature up to 400 artists who will be competing for prizes in 14 categories. Winners will be announced by an awards parade led by strolling musicians. There will also be Art Hear lectures and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The night before the show, there will be an opening party. It will feature appetizers, drinks, a chance to meet the artists, video art, and a live art creation. Proceeds from the event will go to support the exhibition.
The annual show is a good chance for the artists involved to make their names better known and for members of the public to pick up a unique, handmade item. To help publicize events such as this, Toronto banner printing companies are often asked to create original items to be displayed throughout the city.
The exhibition will be held at Nathan Phillips Square from July 4 to 6, beginning at 10:30 am each day. The opening party will be held at the Screen Lounge Laptop Patio on July 3 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $125 or $75 for artists. For more information, visit the official event website.
