City Hall lights up for the season

The 48th annual Cavalcade of Lights is taking place this November in Toronto. It is presented by the City of Toronto Special Events Office.

This evening festival will see the lighting up of the city's official Christmas tree, which is 60 feet tall with 12,500 feet of LED lights and 700 ornaments. There will be a fireworks display and several food trucks. The event will be hosted by Adrian X, and is set to feature entertainment from the Cavalcade Drumline, Retrocity, Maestro Fresh Wes, Kardinal Offishal, Kellylee Evans, and the Collective Elite Dancers.

Later, there will be a concert by Shad, and the festival will finish off with a skating party hosted by DJ Grouch.

This event kicks off the holiday season in Toronto, and the skating rink will be open to the public throughout winter; skates are available for rental, and a snack bar provides hot drinks and snacks. Nathan Phillips Square is also the location of the biggest New Year's Eve celebration in the city. For more information, visit the Special Events Office’s official website.

This is a popular event and Toronto Print companies may have provided advertising materials, such as Flyers and Posters, to encourage more people to attend.

The Cavalcade of Lights will be held at Nathan Phillips Square on November 29th beginning at 7:00pm. This is a free event.
