Stationery printing companies in Toronto, Ontario, will have helped to Print Flyers and Posters to assist organizers of the Power of Movement event, a yoga-focused group effort that raises money for health research purposes. Yesterday, 268 Canadians gathered at Ryerson University in order to take part in this charity event that was intended to raise money for research for autoimmune disease and arthritis. Among the number of people who took out their yoga mats was 42-year-old Dorna Chee, a woman who is suffering from Lupus, but who has been turned on to the healing powers of yoga.
Chee recounted how she was initially diagnosed with Lupus 6 years ago in 2005. She says that she is still enduring the occasional flare-up of the disease, and experiences symptoms like a swollen abdomen. Her feet are also swollen. She was introduced to yoga when she was in the hospital, and the only thing she could do was meditate.
Likewise, 53-year-old Lynn Keane suffers from a condition that produces inflammation of the spine. She, too, attributes healing effects, both mental and physical, to performing yoga.
Yesterday was the fifth iteration of this event, and its organizers have claimed that already $700,000 has been raised since the first event. They are planning on upping said total to at least $1 million this year.
Stationery printing companies in Toronto, Ontario, are on hand to help charities who are organizing events similar to this, as they are able to put their knowledge of the local community to good use.
