Charity organization celebrates 100 years

Banner printing companies in Toronto, Ontario, can help raise awareness in downtown Toronto about the yearlong celebration of the 100th anniversary of a local charity. The Central Neighbourhood House in the downtown Toronto neighborhood of South Cabbagetown is celebrating its centenary all throughout 2011. The history of Central Neighbourhood House is rooted in activism. Originally, it was founded by students at Victoria College, who were aided in their efforts by a social reformer by the name of John Joseph Kelso. Since the charity organization was one of the earliest non-secular organizations in the city, it was able to get support from practically each and every religious group in early 20th-century Toronto.

Currently, the Central Neighbourhood House has its yearlong, 100th anniversary to look forward to, and to celebrate, organizers are plotting 12 events that will take place each month. The events will be based on differing themes and on different neighborhoods, the overall celebration event being referred to as the 100 Years of Neighbours.

The initial event occurred earlier this month, and it involved a winter fair held at Riverdale Park West by the Farm gates. The next scheduled event will be happening in March, when the charity takes part in the Toronto Storytelling Festival that will provide the reading of stories to children.

Banner printing companies in Toronto, Ontario, still have almost the whole year left to help promote this event to anyone in the Greater Toronto area. With a new event happening each month, they will have a lot of work to do.
