Annual festival celebrates the best food of Toronto

‘Winterlicious’ is returning to the city for two weeks, beginning at the end of the month.

The festival features prix fixe Menus from participating restaurants and a number of special culinary events. For each person who pays for their restaurant bill using Interac, $1 will be donated to the Second Harvest food bank.

The special events series includes workshops, cooking demonstrations, and gourmet dinners. Sweet Symphony which is being held at Casa Loma on February 1 beginning at 1:30 pm, will allow guests to enjoy pastries, sweets, coffee, and tea. Tickets are $30 and include a tour of the castle. A Georgian Dinner at Campbell House, featuring a menu created by Liz Driver using 200-year old cookbooks, is taking place on February 3 and tickets cost $100 each. More information can be found by calling 416-597-0227 x2.

Another option is a Risotto Masterclass workshop being taught by Chef Paul Brans on February 4 at the Arcadian Court. Tickets are $125 and include a three-course dinner, a cocktail, and recipes to take home. It is for those aged 19 and over.
