Timmins market to highlight handmade gifts

The Northern Ontario Handmade Market will be returning to Timmins this November, looking to offer unique homemade holiday gifts and personal treats.

The marketplace features entirely local artisans and craftspeople offering items such as artwork, knitted clothing, and jewelry. Confirmed vendors include Knot Just Threads embroidered artwork, River Life athletic apparel, cartoony illustrations by Calla Artistry and Dewar Farm Soaps from Manitoulin Island.

The Market will also feature edible treats and preserves such as Downbythebay jam. The event is designed to capitalize on the upcoming winter holidays and has become a staple of the Timmins shopping season since its beginning in 2018, with vendors selected from an online process open to artisans and small businesses from across Northern Ontario.

Attendees can also get into the holiday spirit with decorations such as handmade wreaths and tree decorations. Vendors at markets like this typically offer special sales and promotional products to celebrate the occasion and wind over new customers. Promotional material for the Market emphasizes the holiday theme:

“Looking for unique gifts this holiday season? The Northern Ontario Handmade Market is the place to be! [...] Whether you’re shopping for yourself or finding that perfect gift, this event celebrates the incredible creativity in Timmins.”

The 2025 Northern Ontario Handmade Market will take place at the McIntyre Community Building in Timmins on November 15.
