Timmins presents glow-in-the-dark paint night
Artist Marie-France Lafleur-Gagnon is hosting a post-impressionism painting event with a twist in Timmins this month.
According to the organizer, Ms. Lafleur-Gagnon, the NEON Paint Night is Timmins’ first-ever fluorescent paint experience. Van Gogh enthusiasts will be able to take to their brushes and dip them in neon colours to render a glow in the dark version of Van Gogh’s renowned Starry Night painting. Participants will paint under black lights to emphasize the colours’ fluorescent effects.
NEON Paint Night attendees are not required to have past painting experience to register for the event, with all interested in the activity welcome to come along. Complementary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available during the activity. The host establishment’s steakhouse will provide alcoholic drinks and hors d’oeuvres for purchase.
Born in Timmins, Marie-France Lafleur-Gagnon is a self-taught finger painter who typically focuses on wildlife, pets, musicians, and landscapes in her work, blending oil painting techniques with bright colours.
Artists like Ms. Lafleur-Gagnon often rely on high-quality photography and professional printing to reproduce their artwork. Printing services play a key role in helping artists share their creations beyond the canvas, whether through gallery prints, portfolios, posters, post-cards, or community exhibitions.
The NEON Paint Night will take place at the Cedar Meadows Resort and Spa, 1000 Norman Street, Timmins, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 5:00 pm.
