Timmins carnival to feature frosty fun

Although the Timmins area may be in a deep freeze, the community will still get to enjoy some red-hot fun thanks to a special winter celebration.

The annual South Porcupine Winter Carnival will be bringing fun to the area this February, and it will run for two days. Much of what will be on offer will be family friendly, and while locals and visitors alike enjoy the festivities, they will also have a chance to show some love to small businesses in the area.

The plans for the three days are filled with bouncy castles and other inflatables, as well as children’s games, and while the little ones burn off some energy, the adults can visit the vendor area to do some shopping. This will all be on offer on the campus of Northern College, and to add even more excitement to the weekend, it will be capped off by a fireworks show that will take to the skies over Porcupine Lake.

Winter festivals may see activities take place indoors and out, which means their decor may need to be able to withstand being out in the elements. A banner printing company will have lots of options for this.

The 2023 South Porcupine Winter Carnival will kick off on February 10th and continue on until February 12th. All ages are invited to be part of the fun.
