Companies to come together at January event

In order for a business to grow, it constantly has to look for more places to do business. This is not always that easy and it is easy to overlook avenues of opportunity. Thankfully, there are some events which are designed to bring more businesses together, such as the Timmins Chamber of Commerce's ‘Meet the Purchasers’ event.

Meet the Purchasers will feature purchasing agents from all over Northeastern Ontario who will be talking about what they purchase and the procedures for purchasing from them. Each purchaser will be given five minutes to give a brief overview of their business. After they all have had their say, businesspeople in attendance will the chance to ask them all one-on-one questions. Those attending should learn which companies buy locally and how to go about purchasing from them. This could be a great opportunity for those companies who are finding it hard to find new clients in this tough economic climate and it may be the start of a long term relationship for both parties.

It is likely that each purchaser will have informational literature to hand out to those who are interested in doing business with them. This might very well be provided to them by Timmins printing companies, such as a brochure explaining in detail what the purchasing process is for a specific company.

Meet the Purchasers will take place at the Days Inn and Conference Centre on January 15 from 8:30 am - 11:00 am. For more information, contact Carmen Swartz at 704-360-1900.
