Annual Sportsman Show signals the beginning of spring

The annual Schumacher Lions Club Sportsman Show is taking place this April in Timmins.

The show is dedicated to all things outdoors. Visitors will be able to view and even buy such items as boats, fishing and camping gear, hunting accessories, vehicles, clothing and outdoor sporting goods. There will also be two food areas. It's been a long winter and this event helps people get ready for the outdoor activities they have been craving for months.

The show will feature over 135 vendor booths. These 10x12 foot booths can be rented for either $325 or $400 each, depending on location in the venue and $1,240 or $1,075 for four. Prices go up after April 1. All vendors will be invited to a get-together which includes a light meal and a cash bar; it will be a great networking opportunity.

It's very likely that the organizers of the show will be working with Timmins Print companies to prepare. They will probably be investing in such services as poster and banner printing to help decorate the arena and to inform the community of this upcoming popular event.

The 66th Schumacher Lions Club Sportsman Show will take place at the McIntyre Arena and Curling Club from April 27-28. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for children, students and seniors or $16 for a family; children aged six and under will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
