Mississauga photographers works featured in current exhibit

Heritage Mississauga is currently hosting an exhibition of photos that capture the beauty of Canada’s wild spaces.

The photographic works were taken by local artist David Hook. The show is entitled Aggregation 18, and features 19 different pictures that he has taken during the past two years. They were taken in Yoho, Banff, and Jasper National Parks and other natural settings.

The exhibit is part of a series that is being brought to the public by Artists Looking For Empty Walls. A firm that provides catalog printing services can produce materials for these types of events that give a brief biography of the artist as well as the name of each of the pictures and details about them.

Admission to the exhibit is free, and it is open from Tuesday until Friday from nine in the morning until five in the evening. It will run until October 23 . The gallery is located at 1921 Dundas St. West.

According to Hook, who lived in the West for some time, it is a beautiful place, but Ontario has a lot of wonderful spots as well, and a person just has to look a bit harder to find them. For example, he has taken photos of the waterfalls that are found around the industrial city of Hamilton. He noted that he draws his inspiration from well-known nature photographers, such as Galen Rowell and Ansel Adams.
