Mississauga is a city that values its wild spaces, and one of these is The Riverwood Conservancy. It offers 150 acres of green, and a call has been put out to the community seeking members of the public who would like to lend a helping hand with a variety of projects.
The conservancy offers lots of opportunities for locals to get involved in some hands on environmental projects, and two information sessions will be held in June. Those who attend will discover the various projects that can use some additional help, and they can also ask questions and learn more about the property.
The tasks that will need to be performed range from the installation of native flowers, trees, and other plants to data collection, the removal of invasive non-native plants, the creation of habitats for wildlife, and working in the gardens. These will all be discussed during the information sessions, which will run from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm both days.
This sort of occasion can help members of the public learn more about an organization and decide if volunteering with it will be a good fit for them. Colorful and informative Brochures can be distributed to the attendees during an event like this to help give them even more details, and these can be crafted by local brochure printing professional.
These sessions are both open to the public, and they will be held on June 26 and 27. They will take place at 4300 Riverwood Park Lane.
