City hosts another successful Tour de Mississauga

Cyclists from all over the region recently came together for the 8th annual Tour de Mississauga.

Over 4,000 riders were expected to show up for the event, which gave them a special opportunity to take a two-wheeled tour of the city. The routes both began and ended at Celebration Square, and there were five of them to choose from.

The different paths the cyclists could follow had been designed to appeal to a variety of abilities and experience. They ranged in distance from the 120-kilometer long City Classic Ride to the 15-kilometer long Family Ride. There was also the 100-kilometer long Challenge Ride that took participants across the city, as well as the Signature Sixty Ride and the Leisure Ride, both of which included off-road elements. A printing services company can produce everything to make a day like this a success, all the way from route maps to Banners, Signs that make the path for people on their bikes to follow, souvenir T-Shirts and more.

A new feature for this year was the fact that those aged 14 to 17 could ride unaccompanied, so long as they had their parent’s permission to do so. Special permission had also been given so the cyclists could use Mississauga Transitway as there would not be any buses on it.

After the end of the tour, there was a barbecue for all those who had taken part.
