Even in deep winter, the wild spaces of Mississauga are full of life, and an upcoming class will teach the public how they can spot Signs of animal activity.
Knowing how to track animals and identify them using tracks and other signs they leave behind will be explored as part of the Wildlife Tracking Walk that will be held at The Riverwood Conservancy. Those who plan to join in are advised to come dressed for the cold, and a request has been made that pets be left at home.
The participants will learn how to spot and identify tracks as well as chews and other signs of animal life. They will discover how animals have adapted to survive in the cold, and it has been noted that the walk will include uneven terrain, and climbing some hills will be required. To help prevent the spread of Covid, only a set number of spots are available, and advance sign up is required to participate.
A banner printing company will be able to prepare signage and other items for this type of in-person activity.
The Riverwood Conservancy has scheduled this the Wildlife Tracking Walk for January 28th and January 30th, and the group will set out at 1:00 pm. The registrants are asked to meet in the parking lot. Get a Free Quote for Signs
