Babysitting can be a young person's first foray into the world of work, and if they are properly trained, they can have the confidence they need to find success in their new business. A Mississauga short course will help to build better babysitters, and it will be taught using methods that can make learning fun.
Students who register for the course will be taught by facilitators who have a background in teaching, and the subjects covered will range from the basics of managing their business to how to keep a grumpy and fussy child entertained. The goal is to create child care providers who are trained, know what to do in an emergency and can create a positive environment for the children in their care.
Each person who registers for this class is asked to bring along a teddy bear or their favourite stuffed animal, as they will use these to practice the techniques they will learn. At the end of the day, students will walk away with a Red Cross babysitting certificate and manual, and these sorts of items can be prepared by a printing services company.
Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre will be welcoming young learners from across the city for this babysitter prep course which will be held on April 13th. The cost to participate is $73.45.
