Touch a Truck fundraiser to welcome Markham families

A fundraiser will help support the work of a children’s hospital in Markham next month.

Sick Kids Hospital helps Markham children and youth in need of medical care, provides support for the whole family and engages in research.

The Jake’s Touch a Truck fundraiser will bring together a large collection of trucks, cars and heavy equipment, and all attendees can climb in and on them all. Those who attend the fundraiser can explore rescue and other first responder trucks, and landscaping, construction and other equipment will also be included in the event.

The operators of these vehicles will be on hand to meet the public and discuss their work, and there will also be family-friendly activities, with learning about safety being one of the priorities of the afternoon.

As well as the equipment and vehicles on display, there will be food trucks on site offering snacks and refreshments. A community function like this can be a great chance for a mobile food service operation to introduce itself to potential customers. Print shops can prepare and install vehicle wraps so that vehicles can look their best when attending such functions.

The Touch a Truck fundraiser for neuroblastoma research at Sick Kids Hospital will be taking place on April 26th. Markham Fairgrounds will be the location for this family activity.

It is advised to check whether the event will still be taking place.
