Markham market to connect public with freshly grown food

Markham’s fans of freshly grown food will soon be treated to an opportunity to support local growers, artisans and other small businesses, and they will be able to do so in their home community.

The Main Street Unionville Market, which takes place at Stiver’s Mill, is set to launch next month, and it will run throughout the summer months. It is scheduled to open to the public each Sunday, and the list of vendors includes more than a dozen sellers.

Those who come to the market will have a chance to score some farm fresh produce and other goods, and many of the farmers and crafters will be on site to meet with their customers. Everything from meat and flowers to handmade items will be on offer, and the location has strong ties to Markham’s agricultural past.

The agricultural operations and other small businesses that take part in this sort of function may wish to stop by area Print shops ahead of time. In doing so, they will be sure to have any printed products necessary to take full advantage of the function.

The Main Street Unionville Market is set to kick off on June 6th, and the final instalment has been scheduled for September 19th. The markets will be open from 9:00am until 2:00pm, and everyone is encouraged to come out and show some love to their local farmers.
