One of Markham’s diverse neighbourhoods is the community of Unionville, and this June, it will be celebrating 50 years of hosting the annual Unionville Festival celebration.
This event, which will run for three days, will be filled with an assortment of activities. The schedule includes all the favourites the public has come to expect as well as several new ones, and one of these will be the ‘Community Soul Project’, which will mark the start of the festivities.
The parade will once again be part of the Unionville Festival, and there will also be Family Fun Day in Crosby Park for all to enjoy. Kids can burn off steam in the Fun Zone, and the York-Durham Heritage Train will also be offering rides. The Funky 5K race will be back, and many of the shops that make Unionville unique will be open for business.
One of the traditional festival events that is set to make its return for 2019 is the Friday Night Dance which will be held in Crosby Arena. Poster printing can be used to craft promotional materials for a large community event such as this, and these can include details about the different activities that are on offer.
This year’s Unionville Festival is scheduled to take place on May 30th until June 2nd. Its website includes a full schedule of all events along with when and where they will be held.
