Doulas can be an important part of a woman’s pre and post-natal health care team, and those who would like become a certified Postpartum Doula will soon have an opportunity to do so.
Cherry Blossom Doulas Inc. will be offering a 18 hour short course that will train attendees in some of the more useful techniques that can be important components of doula’s toolbox. The course will focus on the spiritual, physical and emotional sides of this time in a new family’s life, and it can help to ease the transition into parenthood.
Participants will walk away with a new set of skills and it will also prepare learners for the next step in the process of becoming certified in the profession. It will offer practical training, and 18 CAPPA contact hours or nursing contact hours may be available to those who successfully complete the course.
The registration fee for the training is $550 plus taxes, and lunch is included. Stationery printers can be called upon to supply a wide selection of learning materials to be distributed during this sort of educational function.
