The 14th annual Night it Up! outdoor evening event is taking place for three days this July in Markham.
The market is modelled after those in Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Asian cities. A portion of the proceeds will go to support Yellow Brick House.
Visitors will be treated to Asian street foods, food trucks, a board game café, and game booths, with over 100 vendors expected to be on hand. In addition to the market, there will be a sports zone, outdoor movie screenings, and musical entertainment. Among the artists who are confirmed to appear at this year's event are Core, No Pockets, Ann Chau, and The Rebel Skyliners, while there will also be performances from such groups as the TD Dance Pack.
One sure-to-be-popular activity will be the Paint-a-thon, which participants will pay a $25 fee to take part in. The budding artists will choose between three categories, people, perspective and possibilities, before competing for awards. A professional artist will be there to offer guidance.
The organizers of this Markham market will likely work with a favorite Print company to prepare, which can include Posters and Flyers for advertising and Banners to recognize sponsors.
Night it Up! will take place at the Markham Civic Centre from July 24 to 26. The Paint-a-thon takes place on July 25 from 2:00-9:00pm.
