The 2nd annual Boots and Brains gala is taking place next month in London, raising funds for the Brain Injury Association of London and Region.
The gala is a combination barn dance and country market. Guests will be treated to a country-style dinner. There will also be line dancing lessons and games, with a silent auction running throughout the night and a live auction. Items have been donated by local businesses and individuals.
Musical entertainment will be provided during the evening by the Doghouse Rose band.
A variety of local vendors will be participating in a marketplace. They will be selling all sorts of merchandise, which will likely include clothing, arts and crafts, and home décor items.
The Brain Injury Association provides services such as public education, a peer mentor program, and a weekend camp for survivors.
Those who donate items to auctions are recognized at the event usually by Signs posted next to the items. Organizers will likely get those Signs from a London printing company.
The Boots and Brains gala will be held at the Plunkett Estate on October 1 from 5:30 to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $60 each or $600 for a table of 10. To find out more about this event, contact the Brain Injury Association of London and Region at 519-642-4539.
