The festival will feature live DJs and musical performances alongside local vendors, chefs, craftspeople and artists. This year’s festival will feature DJs Money Gad, Kevoh, the collaborative duo Havz x Millie and more. Visitors can also take part in a Zumba fitness lesson led by Dina, or shop at a variety of vendors selected from throughout the community.
The festival is supported by local organizations like the Paul Seed Fund and the Nigerian Association of London and Area. Last year’s edition featured almost 1,000 attendees, with an eye to welcoming families, Canadian newcomers and students getting to know the city and its diverse culture. The event’s website emphasizes this target audience:
“Afro Fiesta attracts a diverse audience of families, students, newcomers to Canada, and young professionals, creating a welcoming, family-friendly space that celebrates cultural pride, unity, and connection.”
Vendors will offer Afro-Caribbean food such as spicy jollof rice and jerk chicken, in addition to vegan options. Cultural festivals like this often use colourful poster printing and social media to better connect with the community and attract new visitors.
The 2026 edition of the Afro Fiesta Festival will take place at Dundas Place Block #1 in London on September 5.
