This August will see the return of one of Ontario’s biggest pet events, as Pawlooza is to be held in London.
The festival typically sees as many as 25,000 humans and 6,000 dogs in attendance, with an emphasis on canine-themed events and vendors. The festival grounds include an off-leash Fun Zone, a diving pond, and agility and lure courses for dogs to play on. There will also be demonstrations and seminars on topics such as teaching tricks, general obedience, and more.
In addition, there will be a vendor zone with over 175 vendors offering various products aimed at dog owners, from businesses like DogTopia Daycare to non-profits like East Village Animal Hospital. Exhibitors at festivals such as this frequently offer Promotional Products and free samples to help make connections with customers.
Pawlooza is held annually on International Homeless Animals’ Day, and helps raise money for two local nonprofits: ARF Ontario, which works with First Nations Communities to rescue stray dogs, and LEADS Employment Services, which helps people with disabilities find employment. Animal rescue and welfare groups from across Canada will also be at Pawlooza to help fundraise and improve awareness of their efforts. The festival is itself a nonprofit and is run with the effort of hundreds of volunteers.
The 2023 edition of Pawlooza will take place at Plunkett Estate on Saturday, August 19.
