National Poultry Show returns to London

After a successful 2019 event, the National Poultry Show will once again be taking place this April in London, Ontario.

The trade show, now in its 63rd year, brings together farmers and other participants in the poultry industry from across North America. The event typically sees over 20,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors, displaying everything from the latest technological advancement in raising chicken, turkeys and other birds to tasty samples. Part of the proceeds go to the Poultry Industry Council, which works to create resources and programs to help the industry at large.

The announced exhibitors cover every step of the farming process, including areas like construction and video monitoring. Names include Big Dutchman Inc., Canadian Poultry Magazine, and Grand Valley Fortifiers, as well as large food companies like Burnbrae Farms and Maple Leaf Foods.

After a successful debut last year, the educational stage will return, with seminars on topics ranging from raising a healthy flock to dealing with darkling beetles. Trade shows like this are primarily a way for people within the industry to network, often exchanging Business Cards or Promotional Products, as well as to stay up to date on the latest technological and professional developments.

The 2020 edition of the National Poultry Show will take place at the Western Fair District Agriplex on April 8 and 9.
