The 2nd annual Old World Christmas Market is taking place in London in December. The event has a Victorian England theme and is influenced by the festive celebrations of the 19th century.
More than 35 artists and crafters, all dressed in traditional Victorian costumes, will be selling items suitable for gift giving, such as linen, jewelry, Books, furniture, and handmade cards. Several of the vendors will also be giving crafting demonstrations throughout the day.
The London Humane Society will be on hand to sell treats and toys for pets, with all proceeds going to help with the organization’s work. The Christmas Cafe will allow visitors to enjoy lunch or desserts while food artisans will be handing out free samples of baked goods and chocolate.
In addition, carollers and buskers are set to roam the market to entertain the crowds, Father Christmas is expected to make an appearance and children's fun stations will keep the younger guests entertained.
The market will be popular among those who have not begun their holiday shopping. It is also a great way to experience what Christmas celebrations were like in the past.
London printing companies may well get involved to help the Market’s organizers prepare. Banner printing and Posters can be used to boost visitor numbers, for example.
