The Celebration is designed to both commemorate the end-of-year holidays and give back to the London community. It will be a gala event with a cocktail hour and a three-course meal. There will be live music throughout the evening, including a DJ spinning dance music after dinner. The Chamber plans to use local sponsors to support the event, and emphasizes the inclusive nature of the Celebration:
“This event is open to both chamber members and non-members. It is OUR holiday party. Get a table for your team, invite friends and family, let us share in the joy that the season brings!”
In total, 80% of proceeds for the Celebration will go towards the Business Cares Food Drives, which aims to fight hunger in the community. Attendees are also asked to bring two items of canned or other non-perishable food to contribute to the drive. Events such as these, hosted by local businesses under a Chamber of Commerce umbrella, are often networking opportunities for local entrepreneurs and professionals, with Business Cards changing hands along with holiday greetings.
The Holiday Treelight Celebration will take place on the evening of December 8 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in London.
