Festival promotes local artisans

The Gathering on the Green is taking place next month in London.

The main draw of this event will likely be the more than 90 arts and crafts and plants vendors. All of the items sold must be handmade and businesses will not be accepted. Several community organizations will also be on hand to provide information about their programs and services.

Spaces are still available for rental until May 18. Fees for a 10-foot space are $50 plus a donation to the auction and $15 for those under the age of 15 who will be selling in the kids' craft area.

There will be lots of fun activities too that should appeal to the entire family, such as an ongoing barbecue, dunk tank, and bike parade. Charlotte's Tea Garden is set to offer scones and tea. Other food will also be available at the event as well as treats such as snow cones and popcorn. The children's area will feature Kennedy's Kridders and several giveaways. There will also be a silent auction.

The event will be an opportunity for amateur artists and crafters to share their creations with the public. London Print companies may be asked to provide Banners and other signage to make the booths more attractive.
