The 2nd annual Day for the Dogs is taking place next month at Fanshawe Pioneer Village, hosted by Cruisin’ Paws.
Guests are encouraged to bring their well-behaved canine companians for a day filled with activities, but there will also be plenty of fun for those who are not dog owners. One of the top events of the day will be the Cruisin’ Paws agility show, where visitors can enjoy watching dogs of all kinds race around an obstacle course. Owners will also have the opportunity to let their dogs try out the equipment used, while a Kids Race the Activity Dogs activity will keep younger guest entertained.
Several vendors will be on hand to sell toys, clothing and food. Local dog groomers, pet services and rescue organizations will also be on hand to provide information. There will also be contests for prizes, mini photo sessions, the ‘Fanshawe’s Got Talent’ competition and a best-dressed dog contest. Archie Brindelton, the famous French bulldog, will be making an appearance too.
London dog lovers will no doubt want to attend this event. Organizers may have invested in flyer printing services to help spread the word in the city.
A Day for the Dogs will be held at Fanshawe Pioneer Village on August 14 beginning at 11:00 AM. Admission is $7 per person. To learn more, call 519-457-1296.
