The Great Canadian Comedy Caravan tour will make a stop in London this February, providing a full night of stand-up comedy.

The tour is headlined by Rob Pue, a regular on CBC’s The Debaters as well as a stand-up veteran, and Mike Paterson, a versatile comedian and actor who has appeared at Canada’s prestigious Just for Laughs festival. Todd Reid will fill out the bill, while Matt Watson, himself a veteran of Just for Laughs and other comedy festivals around the world, will act as host. The long-running tour typically features a mixture of television writers and stand-up veterans, aiming to provide exposure for emerging comedians north of the border, and focuses on playing theatres instead of traditional comedy clubs.

The Caravan also has a charitable component, as it will be raising funds for Make-A-Wish Canada, which helps to fulfill the wishes of children with serious illness. The tour spans across eight months and cities ranging from Iqaluit to Antigonish, with a rotating cast of comedians. The London show will come on the heels of an appearance in Hamilton on the previous night. Comedy shows often use methods like flyer printing or local radio promotion to help reach those looking for a laugh.
