Classical concert series to return in London

The prestigious Jeffrey Concerts has announced its schedule for the 2023-24 season, presenting some of the best in classical music in downtown London.

The season premiere concert will feature the Gryphon Trio, the acclaimed combination of violinist Annalee Patipatanakoon, cellist Roman Borys, and pianist Jamie Parker. The trio has toured North America and Europe together for over 25 years and commissioned new pieces, as well as performing classical compositions.

The series will return to Wolf Performance Hall in 2024 for an afternoon performance by Ensemble Caprice in a show entitled “Sweet! Chocolate and French Baroque Music”. Other classical groups performing include the Isidore String Quartet and the duo of Tyler Duncan and Erika Switzer.

The series will conclude in April with a performance by acclaimed pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko. The series is presented by the Gordon Jeffrey Music Foundation, with artistic director Arthur Rowe bringing together both Canadian and international artists. Students with valid ID will be admitted free, while combination packages or a full season subscription are available for other attendees. Classical series like this are often promoted through tools such as poster printing and social media, and aim to provide musical education as well as entertainment.

The 2023 Jeffrey Concerts will take place primarily at Wolf Performance Hall in London and run on select dates from September 23 to April 27.
