Kanata Ribfest & Poutine will be back in town this May, aiming to provide the best of summer food on Victoria Day weekend.
The three-day festival will feature top rib vendors and smokers competing to see who will have the best ribs, brisket and other smoked meats. This year will also be the Mac My Cheese Fest, with different styles and preparations of classic comfort food macaroni and cheese on offer. The festival will also include poutine and other types of food and beverages to suit all tastes.
Kanata Ribfest is also known for its live entertainment. Past editions have included local musical acts like PressPlay Ottawa and the Allez Cats, and organizers have teased a major Canadian artist for this year to celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary. In addition to the music, there will be activities and games aimed at a family audience.
Food trucks and vendors at Ribfest are known for large Signs and displays to help attract attention. Exhibitors at food festivals often use banner printing and other large formats to serve this purpose. Organizers of Kanata RibFest will also be hosting the Ontario Buttertart Festival at the Ottawa RA Centre earlier in the month, looking to present a full spectrum of Canadian favourites.
The 2026 Kanata RibFest and Mac My Cheese Fest will take place at the Community Hub from May 22 to 24.
