Kanata area music festival to stomp again

The Ottawa Stomp Music Festival will be back this August, featuring Canadian artists and popular summer activities.

The festival aims to feature hard-charging music including country, rock and roots. The first night of the show will be headlined by the Jim Cuddy Band, led by the longtime Blue Rodeo frontman, with special guests Fiddlestix and Gatlin Black. The rest of the weekend will feature musical artists including Alan Frew of Glass Tiger fame and Canadian rock veterans the Sam Roberts Band.

The music will be paired with a “Rockin’ Ribfest”, featuring different barbecue experts presenting their own take on the classic pork rib. Other classic barbecue food will also be available, including burgers, bacon, and both hard and soft beverages. Food sellers and other vendors will be selected through an online application process.

The festival grounds will also include a car show with local auto enthusiasts showing off their rare and vintage vehicles. Outdoor festivals like these often use Signs and banner printing to welcome in guests as well as recognize the contributions of volunteers and sponsors. Past editions of Ottawa Stomp have been hosted at the Metcalfe Fairgrounds, but the festival will announce a new venue this year.

The 2026 Ottawa Stomp Music Festival will take place from August 14 to 16 at a location in the Kanata-Ottawa area to be announced.
