Popular comedian and signer “Weird Al” Yankovic will be coming to Kanata this July for a major concert performance.
The singer has been known for his parodies of popular songs over his decades-long career, ranging from “Amish Paradise” to “White & Nerdy”, as well as original songs like “Albuquerque”. Yankovic will be performing some of his biggest hits that are popular with both young and adult audiences, as well as deep cuts that have never or rarely been played live.
The Kanata show is part of the Bigger & Weirder 2026 Tour, where Yankovic will be touring with a larger band than usual. The tour adds four new musicians to his usual backing crew. The artist is known for incorporating instruments like the accordion into his music as well as on-stage spectacle. “Weird Al” will also be supported by opening art Puddles Pity Party.
In addition to Kanata, Yankovic will also be performing in Montreal as part of the Just for Laughs Festival the prior night, with the Bigger & Weirder Tour now in its second year of traveling across North America. Large concert tours like this use a variety of methods to connect with music fans, ranging from social media to local poster printing.
“Weird Al” Yankovic’s Bigger & Weirder tour will stop at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata on the evening of July 26.
