Kanata career fair focuses on tech

The Kanata North Business Association will be holding its Discover Technata Career Fair this March, aiming to highlight the range of opportunities in the city’s technology sector.

The event will feature face-to-face networking opportunities with hiring employers from the Kanata North technology park. The companies represent a range of high-tech industries, including aerospace, AI, cybersecurity and telecommunications. The fair is designed to highlight the Association’s slogan “Serious Tech Lives Here”. Advertising for the gathering emphasizes that:

“The KNBA’s flagship annual career fair brings together world-class employers, innovative startups, recruiting firms, and thousands of tech professionals—all under one roof.”

The Career Fair is aimed at students and new graduates from nearby schools like Algonquin College, experienced professionals and other current job seekers. Attendees to fairs like this often prepare through resume and business card printing, as well as dressing the part. Companies also apply to take part, and are selected to showcase what they do and what job openings are available.

The Discover Technata event has been a success at highlighting Kanata’s tech sector over the past few years. Past editions of the fair have drawn thousands of job seekers and included major companies like Warner Bros Discovery, Nanometrics Inc and Ross Video.

The 2026 Discover Technata Career Fair will take place at the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata on March 31.
