Winter festival to return to Brampton

The annual Winter Lights Festival has announced its plans to once again take over downtown Brampton this November, setting the stage for the holiday season to follow.

The festival will feature elaborate light decorations designed to celebrate winter and the upcoming holidays. There will be daily activities aimed at families, including temporary tattoos and face paint, photos with Santa, a petting zoo with pony rides, and roaming characters and performers. Garden Square will also be screening holiday movies, such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Charlie Brown Christmas.

The Winter Lights Festival is bracketed by two of Brampton’s biggest holiday events. The festival will kick off with the Brampton Santa Claus Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton and featuring local businesses and community organizations. This will be the 31st annual parade, with a route going down Bramalea Road.

The festival will conclude with the annual holiday tree lighting and Miracle on Main Street charity drives. The event area will include food vendors, amusement rides and activities. Holiday and winter festivals like this often use methods like flyer printing and social media to help attract visitors and get everyone in the seasonal spirit.

The 2025 Winter Lights Festival will run from November 15 to 29 in downtown Brampton, with free admission for all. There will be road closures on the 15th and 16th to accommodate the parade.
