Well-known print industry president and CEO dies

The heads and employees of Print companies in the Brampton area will want to pay their respects to a well-known print industry president and CEO who recently died. David Odell died on November 10 after losing his fight against cancer. He died at Princess Margaret and was only 62 years old.

Before losing his battle with cancer, Odell was the CEO and also the president of the Data Group of Companies. Before his last stint as the chief executive and the president of the Data Group, Odell was previously employed as the president of Network Studios/Empress Graphics as well as the Yorkville Group.

The Data Group of Companies was prominent enough in Canada to achieve the ranking of seventh place on this year’s Graphic Monthly Canada Gold List.

Odell’s funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on November 19 at the Jerrett Funeral Home.
