Upcoming run will raise funds for two local charities

The 2014 Show you Care walk/run is taking place in Brampton this April. Proceeds will go to support Creating Affordable Recreation for Everyone (CARE) and the Wellspring Chinguacousy Cancer Support Centre.

The event, which is hosted by the Running Room, is open to runners and walkers of all ages. They can choose between a 5K course and a 2.5K fun run. Registration fees for those 20 and over is $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the event, and $15 or $20 for those aged 19 and under. Packages can be picked up at the Running Room in Bramalea City Centre on April 11th between 3:00pm and 7:00pm.

After the race, participants will enjoy a barbeque and musical entertainment. In addition, prizes will also be awarded for first place finishers in various age categories. It should be an opportunity for locals to get to know their fellow runners, as well as learn about both charities.
