The Business Excellence Awards Gala is taking place next month in Brampton.
Hosted by the Brampton Board of Trade and presented by TD Bank, the awards honor individuals and businesses that have made a significant contribution to the economic health of the community.
The evening will consist of a sit-down dinner, live entertainment, and the awards presentations. There will be 12 categories for which awards are given out. These categories include Advanced Manufacturing, Retail, Business Services, Innovation, Arts and Culture, and Community Impact (one for nonprofit and one for-profit companies).
The award itself is an attractive clear plastic or glass sculpture that has the company's name and winning category etched on it. Each winner will likely have the opportunity to address the audience.
This will be a networking opportunity for business and community leaders. There will no doubt be many chances for attendees to discuss their businesses with their peers briefly.
