Tasty festival returns to Brampton

The 4th annual Brampton WingFest is taking place for two days at the end of August. It is hosted by the Chinguacousy Lions Club.

Summer seems to be the time for ribs and plenty of cities in Ontario have events planned. Many different ribbers will be selling samples of their delicious food in Brampton. There will also be live entertainment from performers such as the David Love Band, The Rock School, and Idle Frets, as well as children's entertainers like Pockets the Clown and a display by Visual Arts Brampton.

Those who are inclined can take part in a speed chicken wing contest to be named "wing king”.

Plenty of food will be available for purchase, and in addition to chicken and pork there will be sides like corn on the cob, coleslaw, and fries.

Visual Arts Brampton, in addition to displaying the art of its members, will be providing information on its programs and about upcoming community events.

Vendors will also be on hand to provide lots of activities, including face painting, jumping castles, caricatures, and henna tattoos. Some of the providers might contact Brampton Print companies in advance, for Signs and Banners to highlight their company name.

The Brampton WingFest will be held at DMG Chinguacousy Park from August 29th - 30th. To find out more or to become a volunteer, contact Jacqueline at 416-709-8981.
