Public invited to take part in Brampton brain tumour walk
An event has been planned for Brampton that will raise both awareness about brain tumours and raise funds to help support research and those living with one.
The 16th Annual Brampton Brain Tumour Walk will see survivors and also their supporters, friends and families as well as those who just wish to help the cause come together to walk either the 2.5 or 5 kilometre route. They can either walk or run the course, and people are encouraged to form teams to both maximize their fundraising efforts and make it a day that is full of fun.
Those who cannot take part but would still like to make a donation are encouraged to do so.
This fundraising activity has been schedule for May 28th at Professors Lake Park. It will begin with the taking of a survivor photo at 9:45 am, with the opening ceremonies taking place at 9:50 and the walk or run itself starting at 10:00 am. Banners can be printed for events like this to help mark the start and finish of the route, as well as decorate the staging area. These can also help to raise awareness about the cause.
