The Brampton Board of Trade is presenting the annual Mayor’s Luncheon on February 28 at the Pearson Convention Centre from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Tickets are $65 for Board members and $85 for non-members. Members can purchase a table of eight for $520. Sponsorships are available for $2,000.
Mayor Susan Fennell will be giving the annual State of the City address. This address will review the successes of her administration in 2011 and will look forward to the challenges that 2012 will present to the City government and to business leaders. The mayor will also be announcing new projects and initiatives that the City will be participating in.
The luncheon also gives business leaders the chance to network with their peers; approximately 400 people show up for the luncheon every year so there will be a great chance you will meet someone who can help you to grow your business in Brampton. Arranging for business card printing before attending is recommended; all those in attendance will be looking forward to growing their referral network. Practice your “elevator pitch” and remember to listen to those you meet.
Attending will also give people a chance to interact directly with their Board of Trade and city government and to voice their concerns about how government policies and laws will affect them.
Prior to lunch, the Brampton Board of Trade will hand out the Police Services Award to a police officer who has given “outstanding service to the community.”
