Brampton mayor Susan Fennell recently announced that the Central Hockey League (CHL) is expanding into the city for the 2013-14 season. This will be the first Canadian team of the 12 team league.
This is good news to hockey fans in the area due to the recent departure of the Ontario Hockey League's Brampton Battalion. The new team, the name of which is yet to be announced, will play at the Powerade Centre. The team will be led by Gregg Rosen, former president of the Hamilton Bulldogs hockey team.
The CHL has also announced that they hope to expand further into Canada.
With the naming of a new team and the development of its brand, Brampton printing companies will be busy providing necessary services to the CHL. The brand will be very important in helping to get the community excited about this new team. With that in mind, no doubt the owners will be working closely with those Print companies to help develop a logo and to help grow brand recognition.
Those printing companies will possibly be providing the tickets for the games, helping to create Banners to be hung around the arena or on the streets of Brampton, printing Flyers which will let the community know about the new team, providing schedules to the players and the local media, and providing office staff with all the Stationery they require. It is very important that the brand is established early enough that it will seem like the team has always been in Brampton.
