Creative writing offers an engaging way to develop proficiency in both written and spoken English, and a workshop series offering such an opportunity has been planned for Brampton.
Indus Community Services supplies a variety of support for Brampton residents, and it will soon be running its Creative Writing short course. It will take place on a selection of Monday evenings, and will be presented by the organization’s Community Connects Facilitator.
During the workshops, the attendees will have a variety of opportunities to participate in exercises and other ways to increase their English language proficiency, and there will be discussion and other activities. It is intended for newcomers to the country, with priority given to those who hold a PR card. The Zoom link for the sessions will be distributed upon registration.
By making practicing both spoken and written English fun, an activity like this may be a valuable learning opportunity, while also providing a chance to meet new people. Offering packets of additional learning materials prepared by a brochure printing business to the students will help them to continue developing their language skills when they are at home.
Indus Community Services will be running this continuing education opportunity for newcomers starting on October 18th and finishing on November 8th. The sessions will start at 5:00 pm.
