Brampton venue plans plant and sip event

When grown in a small pot or other container, succulents often form an attractive rosette shape and are easy to care for, and they will serve as the base for a crafting project planned for a Brampton venue.

The staff at Jake’s Boathouse will be setting the location up for a hands-on project, and each person who comes out will go home with a new green friend for their home. Tickets are $59 each, and as beer and other hard beverages will be on tap, only those who are the legal drinking age will be allowed to take part.

The two-hour-long workshop will teach attendees how to prepare a miniature garden under glass, and the materials needed will all be supplied. The participants will find out how to plant and care for their terrarium, and step-by-step instruction is included in the ticket price.

A horticultural class like this can be a lot of fun. Stationery printers can provide printed tip sheets to distribute so that new home horticulturalists will be able to provide their new plants with lots of care and attention after the event.

The Plant Nite: Make a Succulent Terrarium session is scheduled for the evening of Monday, December 12th at Jake’s Boathouse. Everyone who reserves a seat is asked to arrive by no later than 7:00 pm.
